  I started here as an 18 year old on my way to college in the fall and I wanted to start on BC before going to ease my periods. I would vomit and cramp to the point of needing to be in bed all day. Initially, the visits were fine and I was prescribed BC. The first one we tried did not work very well so we switched two more times before finding one that I was fine on for a year. Then I was having spotting all month long and I talked with them about changing the method of BC. I felt like they were not looking out for my interests and rather, pharmaceutical companies interests. I was told they don't even use certain forms of BC regardless if it would benefit the patient or not which was very weird to me. I had an IUD put in, gained around 40 pounds and had to have it removed because I was miserable. I felt like I was very misguided especially being so young. I have now found a new GYN only who seems to have better interests at heart and better patient care.
